How the app works right now

Driftless Coach AI is built around a single dashboard, structured profile documents, and a coach chat that uses your saved context. Start here if you want the fastest way through the current app flow.

What is the main flow of the app?

Sign in, move through the dashboard slides, save your profile documents, then open Coach AI to ask for plans, session adjustments, or a specific workout.

What should I fill out first on the dashboard?

Start with Athlete Profile and Plan Preferences. Those give Coach AI your name, climbing level, goals, schedule, equipment access, and the tone you want from the coach.

What are the four profile documents for?

Athlete Profile stores your identity and climbing background. Plan Preferences stores goals, schedule, equipment, and coaching style. Self Assessment stores measurable baselines. Plan Request frames the next block you want Coach AI to build.

What does the coaching style preference change?

It changes the tone Coach AI uses when it responds. If you save a style like direct, analytical, or high-energy, the chat will lean that way. If you leave it blank, the app defaults to a standard friendly coaching style.

Why would I use Driftless Coach AI over a human coach?

The biggest advantage is speed and access. Driftless Coach AI is available whenever you train, it can adjust your session immediately, and it uses the profile information you already saved in the app. For athletes who want fast planning, frequent tweaks, and lower-friction coaching on their own schedule, that can be more useful than waiting on a human coach to reply.

What does the AI coach do better for day-to-day training?

It is strongest at fast iteration. You can change the plan based on time, fatigue, equipment, skin condition, or soreness and get a new answer right away. That makes it especially useful for building today's workout, adjusting a week on the fly, and turning your saved goals into repeatable session guidance without a back-and-forth delay.

Should I still choose a human coach in some cases?

Yes. A human coach is still the better choice when you need hands-on movement observation, deeper accountability, rehab or medical coordination, or high-stakes competition oversight. Driftless Coach AI is strongest when you want immediate planning, structured guidance, and a coach you can consult as often as you want.

Do I need every document completed before I use Coach AI?

No. You can open Coach AI at any time. Completing more of the dashboard just gives the model better context, which usually means better plans and more relevant adjustments.

What is the upcoming workout card showing me?

That card tries to surface your next scheduled session first. If there is no scheduled workout, it falls back to your latest plan suggestion and gives you a shortcut into Coach AI to generate the next session.

How should I prompt Coach AI?

Be specific. Include the goal, the time you have, any pain or fatigue, equipment limits, and what kind of answer you want. Good examples are “build today’s 45 minute session” or “adjust this week because my fingers feel tweaky.”

Where do I go if I cannot sign in?

Use the forgot password screen first. If you do not have an account yet, use create account and then come back to the dashboard once you are signed in.
