Coach Portal FAQ
Your on-demand climbing coach, built to keep you moving
Driftless Coach AI gives you fast, personalized coaching without the wait. Save your training context once, then come back anytime for better plans, smarter adjustments, and a coach that is ready whenever you are.
What is the main flow of the app?
Sign in, move through the dashboard slides, save your profile documents, then open Coach AI for plans, session adjustments, or a specific workout. The goal is simple: spend a few minutes setting up your context once, then get coaching that feels tailored instead of generic every time you come back.
What should I fill out first on the dashboard?
Start with Athlete Profile and Plan Preferences. Those two sections give Coach AI your name, climbing level, goals, schedule, equipment access, and the tone you want from the coach. That is the fastest way to make the app feel personal right away.
What are the four profile documents for?
They are what make Driftless Coach AI feel like your coach instead of just another chat tool. Athlete Profile stores your background, Plan Preferences shapes how you train, Self Assessment tracks measurable baselines, and Plan Request tells the app exactly what kind of next block you want built.
What does the coaching style preference change?
It changes how the coach talks to you and how direct the corrections feel. You can keep it cheerful and positive, go direct and concise, stay calm and steady, lean analytical and data-driven, or ask for a higher-energy push. If you do nothing, the app defaults to a cheerful, positive coaching style so it still feels approachable from day one.
Why would I use Driftless Coach AI over a human coach?
Because it is there when you actually need it. Driftless Coach AI does not ask you to schedule a call, wait for a reply, or hold your questions until next week. It gives you fast, personalized coaching on your schedule, using the goals and constraints you already saved. If you want more momentum, more consistency, and less friction, that is a real advantage.
What does the AI coach do better for day-to-day training?
It excels at keeping you moving. If your schedule changes, your fingers feel beat up, your session gets shortened, or you need a better plan right now, you can adjust on the fly and get a useful answer immediately. That makes it especially strong for building today's workout, salvaging imperfect weeks, and helping you stay consistent even when life gets messy.
Should I still choose a human coach in some cases?
Yes. A human coach is still the better fit when you need in-person movement analysis, rehab or medical coordination, deeper accountability, or high-stakes competition oversight. But for fast planning, frequent check-ins, and practical day-to-day coaching, Driftless Coach AI gives you a level of access most athletes never get from a traditional setup.
Do I need every document completed before I use Coach AI?
No. You can start using Coach AI immediately. The more you fill out, the better and more personalized the coaching becomes, but you do not need a perfect setup to start getting value from it.
What is the upcoming workout card showing me?
It is there to remove friction. The card surfaces your next scheduled session first, and if nothing is scheduled yet, it falls back to your latest plan suggestion and gives you a quick path into Coach AI so you can turn intent into an actual workout fast.
How should I prompt Coach AI?
Talk to it like you would talk to a good coach. Be specific about your goal, the time you have, any fatigue or pain, equipment limits, and what kind of answer you want. Good prompts sound like “build today's 45 minute session” or “adjust this week because my fingers feel tweaky.” The clearer you are, the sharper the coaching gets.
Where do I go if I cannot sign in?
Start with the forgot password screen. If you are new here, use create account first, then come back and get your dashboard set up so Coach AI can start working with your real training context.
